Ryder Cade Hutton

With interested family and friends all over the world, we felt that an online update and communication forum on and for Ryder would be great. Enjoy, Scott & Courtney

Man's Best Friend

Ryder and Wilson are getting used to each other and look forward to long walks in the park. Well let's be honest Wilson always looks forward to walks and playing catch regardless of who his partner is.
Wilson really has warmed up to Ryder over the last couple of weeks and really seems to be protective of the little guy.

Hutton Spa

Bath time at the Hutton Spa is much more enjoyable. We will spare you the comparison photos (for his sake). This photo was taken this morning moments after he finished a very enjoyable bath. Actually, I am a little concerned....he seems to take after his mother and really enjoy spa time.

Smooth Moves

It's a girl. What do I do? What do I say? Dad, help me!

Ryder with Estella Bruneau at a Holiday Party last night. He was not too smooth and began crying shortly after this photo was taken. We think he was a little embarrassed. Who wouldn't be with gas, reflux, cradle cap, and very poor communication skills.

Don't worry, I plan on working with him over the next 20 years.

Laid Back

Ryder chillen and wondering when his next feeding is.
By the looks of it, he has not missed many meals. At 7 weeks, Ryder is now 23.5" long and weighs a seismic 12 lbs. 9 oz. At this age, he is in the 80-85% in both length and weight.

Stretch

Stretching after a very brief nap. Where is everyone in this photo. He is never alone.

War and Peace

What a contradiction. Courtney dressed in camo and ready to go. Ryder wearing a peace shirt and grinning. Who do you think won?

Reflux

Many have asked if Ryder still has reflux. Well this action photo speaks volumes. The upper GI on Friday indicated that he will grow out of this and that no problems exist. Now, when will he grow out of this phase?

Update

Well, we are almost caught up with the key milestone photos. We do plan on updating more frequently. Christmas should provide tons of photo ops.

Today, Ryder is 46 days old. He has had an eventful six weeks. Already over 12 lbs., he is a little Jabba the Hutt.

Courtney and I are enjoying every minute. Well, honestly the minutes in the middle of the night are not that enjoyable. We eagerly anticipate the first night of wakeless sleep.

We plan on sending the blog address (http://ryderhutton.blogspot.com/) to our friends and family today.

Also, we wanted to thank Gabe from Archer Malmo for setting up the blog.

Mr. GQ

Courtney enjoys finding Ryder unique and trendy outfits. I don't think he notices but he sure is cute and he gets a bunch of compliments.

Christmas tree lighting

Ryder was not very happy at the Harbor Town Christmas tree lighting. We didn't dare introduce him to Santa. Yet, he is doing great for five weeks old.

Grand & Great Grand Mothers

Ryder spent quality time with Grandma Hutton and Great Grandma Osborn during his first Thanksgiving. His idea of quality time is a little different than ours but everyone still enjoyed it.

Boiler Up

Ryder cheering loudly for his first Old Oaken Bucket game. Ryder calmed down once Purdue took control and eliminated Indiana from a possible bowl birth.

Now if only the Boiler basketball team could give us another reason to scream.

Let's go

Ryder's ready to roll.

What's next?

What the heck do we do next? I don't know, let me see what one of the 20 books we bought has to say.

Sleep

This is rare. Ryder rarely sleeps soundly but when he does we really appreciate it. This photo is at 2 weeks.

First Bath

No nudity, just a private sponge bath. It was a family affair with Wilson (our Golden Retriever) observing.

Nana & Papa Leveque

Ryder enjoyed meeting Nana & Papa Leveque. He looks forward to visiting them in Hilton Head and having them teach him the finer points of golf, boating, kayaking, swimming and family time.

30 minutes of peace

That was the most peaceful 30 minutes we've experienced in the last two days. Ryder really enjoyed the ride. Good news for us.

Heading Home

We couldn't wait to leave the hospital and head for the comforts of home. What were we thinking? Well, no turning back.

Hospital Birth Photo

Sorry for the delays. Parenthood seems to be eating up all of our free time. Attached you will find an early photo taken in the hospital. It actually was the photo used in Ryder's birth announcement.
